Seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Stryker vehicles. This role requires expertise in automotive and hydraulic systems, preventive maintenance, and familiarity with diagnostic tools.
Responsibilities:
Perform troubleshooting and corrective actions for faults, failures, and deficiencies on Stryker vehicles.
Conduct preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on Stryker vehicle systems.
Troubleshoot and repair automotive systems (engine, transmission, cooling, fuel, exhaust, driveline, and suspension) using built-in test equipment (BITE), manual troubleshooting procedures (MTPs), and applicable technical documentation.
Repair and replace sub-systems, components, and line replacement units (LRUs), performing tasks such as disassembly, repair, reassembly, and testing per technical guidelines.
Troubleshoot hydraulic systems for standard Stryker variants and specific models.
Complete maintenance records, administrative forms, and other paperwork related to duties.
Interpret troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures, schematics, and flow diagrams.
Maintain accountability for tools, test equipment, and property.
Qualifications:
Experience: 1 to 3 years of related work experience required.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree preferred.
Citizenship Requirement: Must be a U.S. person.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of troubleshooting procedures, including IETM and schematic interpretation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with GDLS products, processes, and military terminology preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Documented trade school, certified technical training, or commercial training.
Ability to meet and maintain ASR requirements.
Capability to gain and maintain access to military facilities.
Willingness to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) and outside (OCONUS) as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in various maintenance environments, including field settings.
Adaptability to customer work schedule changes.
