Duties and Responsibilities:Oversees recruitment of trainees for Community Health Worker (CHW) programOversees recruitment of community partnerships for student practicum experienceAssists with the coordination of tracking of CHW students through the training programs, including documentation of trainees' progress, completion of the training programs and meeting certificate requirements for data collection purposes.Manages outreach, recruitment, communication, and potential enrollment for CHW programProvides key logistical support on program efforts, including organizing meetings, distributing textbooks and other materials to students, and maintaining important documents and databases.Provides information and responds to questions and correspondence in support of faculty members/instructors, as needed for the delivery of the courses assigned to those faculty members. Assists Project Manager with data collection and analysisDrives to various work sites and project activities to manage/coordinate student and instructor needs such as books, laptops and hotspots.
Minimum Qualifications:Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Business, Management, any Health Sciences programs or related field and 2 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for project management; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.Functional knowledge of administrative tasks, planning and coordinating activities and logistics, as well as word processing and database/spreadsheet programs. Functional knowledge and understanding of the Federal and Hawai'i State laws, rules, regulations, and systems associated with grants and healthcare administration training contracts. Understanding of institutional policies, compliance regulations, service agreements/contracts, and capabilities of computerized applications. Knowledge of leadership and organizational management best practices.Demonstrated ability to resolve wide-ranging complex issues through creative reasoning and logic to accurately determine the cause of the issues and to provide solutions to the issues in an effective, innovative, and timely manner. Demonstrated ability to interpret, convey, and present information and ideas to a diverse audience.Excellent, professional, and clear verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to prepare presentations, reports, and other materials.Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, leadership, community and industry partners, policymakers, and other individuals/members. Strong multi-tasking ability to keep up with fast-paced and often relationship-driven work.


Desirable Qualifications:Master's Degree in Business, Management, any Health Sciences programs or related field Two (2) years of experience working with extramural programs at the UH campuses. Experience with online project management and accounting platforms, including the Research Corporation of the University of Hawai'i (RCUH) Financial Portal, RCUH Human Resources Portal, Kuali Financial System, or eTravel. Familiar with UH and RCUH policies and procedures related to extramural project management.
