In this role, you will:
Oversee construction-related accounting activities, including job costing, WIP (work-in-progress) reporting, and contract billing
Prepare and maintain accurate project financial reports, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including analyzing project budgets and expenses
Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and project profitability
Monitor project performance and perform variance analysis to support decision-making
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company-specific accounting policies
You're a great fit if you have:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related fields
Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction accounting or project-based accounting
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups)
Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with construction-specific accounting software (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, or similar)
Familiarity with construction cost accounting, WIP schedules, and job costing
