SUMMARY
Environmental Management, Inc., a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Health and Safety Technician . This employee will assist in administrative duties relating to Health and Safety training and consulting at our building and possibly on job locations in Anchorage, Alaska.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists managing client database
Perform administrative duties related to health and safety course offerings.
Assist with production of materials and assisting to collect field data.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
Prior course work or employment in health and safety field preferred
High School Diploma
Fluent in basic computer functions
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Knowledge of Microsoft office
Basic understanding of computer databases and websites
Basic understanding of health, safety, and environmental topics
Preferred
Prior experience building PowerPoint presentations.
Basic Knowledge of HSE regulations
1 year of experience in safety field

DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTS
This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation "safety-sensitive" functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The job is performed primarily in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and video communication systems. Occasional travel within Anchorage to field sites may be required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
