We are seeking a Phlebotomist for a Family Practice in Euless, TX!

Hours: 8:00 am - 12:30pm and 1:30pm - 5:00pm: Mon-Fri
Work type: Contract
This job will have the following responsibilities:

- Performs venipuncture using vacutainer, syringe, and butterfly techniques; capillary punctures using heel and finger stick techniques on patients
- Collects, identifies, labels, and processes specimens according to protocol
- Maintains knowledge of all routine containers and minimum volumes required for specimen collection, and complies with laboratory ordering and billing compliance
- Enters laboratory data accurately into the computer system and responds timely to abnormal and panic values
- Cleans and sterilizes equipment, instruments, and work area and ensures preventive maintenance is performed on all equipment and monitors

Current National certification as Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing to perform quality control checks. 1+ years of experience.
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques to perform routine blood and urine tests. 1+ years of experience.
