Overview
At Insmed, patients are our North Star, and our work helps to bring new and innovative therapies to market to treat them. Our Human Resource team is expanding to support the significant growth of our teams, ensuring that our employees continue to receive "above and beyond" partnership to enable their success. In this role, the Associate Director, HR Business Partner (HRBP) will build and sustain relationships with all levels of employees in the Insmed Technical Operations, Program Management, and Business Development teams. This individual will effectively influence analysis and decision-making in the areas of talent management and development, change management, workforce planning, organization development and design, performance management, and employee relations. This individual will also provide strategic guidance in the areas of Compensation, Benefits, Total Rewards, Employee Development and Organizational Effectiveness. Another key responsibility for this individual will be to partner with members of the HR team and Leadership to develop, administer, and evolve current processes of Performance Management.
Responsibilities
Coach, guide and influence people leaders to drive cultural change and employee engagement.
Partner with leadership to understand team goals, challenges, and opportunities, aiding a relationship of mutual trust to be involved as a key partner in decisions; participate in business discussions to assess individual client need, acting as a sounding board and recommending actions to contribute to the team's success and ultimately the organization's success.
Implement HR policies and procedures to ensure organizational practices develop, engage, and retain employees, making recommendations for enhancements as needed; leverage change management skills to assist with organizational adaptation.
Serve as key point person for performance processes across the organization, inclusive of Quarterly Performance Conversations and Annual Performance Alignment:
Develop and execute communication plan for leaders and employees, facilitating training sessions and developing training materials.
Liaise with HR Operations and Total Rewards to align compensation planning timing and ensure system is setup to reflect expectation.
Inform and project plan annual Performance Alignment sessions with HRBPs.
Review industry best-practices to review and enhance current practices to support the growth and evolution of the organization.
Assist with the evaluation of talent during the hiring process.
Lead, design, and implement key business initiatives.
Develop, communicate, and work on various HR programs, in conjunction with other HR team members, such as year-end performance alignment sessions, talent planning discussions, employee development discussions, and employee onboarding.
Identify, recommend, and lead client engagements and training programs.
Create new tools and resources to support identified business need and future organizational direction.
Coordinate the strategic communication as it relates to benefits, compensation and other HR programs and initiatives.
Coach people leaders through employee relations issues, ensuring both a fair and consistent process while balancing employee accountability and organizational needs.
Investigate and resolve Employee Relations issues in an expedient manner.
Develop and implement Company programs (internships, mentoring program).
Create a positive work environment by conducting employee events to motivate staff.
Facilitate key meetings, focus groups and other discussions to evaluate business need for future employee programs, tools, and resources.
Ensure that personnel records are maintained accurately.
Participate in various, ad hoc Human Resources projects and initiatives.
Partner with internal HR team members to ensure the pull-through of organizational-wide programs and the hiring/onboarding of new employees.
Collaborate with the function's Talent Partner (Talent Acquisition) to ensure a cohesive approach for planning of future headcount needs and open roles; proactively discuss potential challenges and solutions to ensure top talent is identified and onboarded.
Leverage people data and analytics to formulate well-rounded recommendations when providing guidance or delivering initiatives and programs.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of HR and related experience
A minimum 6+ years in the biotech/pharma sector.
Prior experience successfully navigating a fast-paced, changing environment is needed.
Must have strong knowledge of local, state and federal employment law
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline required. Master's degree preferred.
PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
Ability to demonstrate interpersonal awareness to effectively build and sustain strong partnerships with trust and credibility.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion is required.

Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy and conciseness.

$139,000 - $195,200 a year
