Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) is student centered and promotes a "Student First" culture. As a member of the Cabinet, the Vice President reports to the President and must be a dynamic visionary and innovative executive who can serve as the College's Chief Student Affairs Officer. BCCC is operating within a Realignment framework and the individual must be able to lead through change management as the institution evolves. The Vice President encourages high morale and quality student services through a collaborative leadership style to inspire employees to strive to achieve established goals and objectives. The VPSA supports and promotes the mission of the College and provides leadership for the development and success of students. The individual should possess significant knowledge and bring direct administrative and technical work experience in Student Affairs. The Vice President provides strategic oversight and leadership in the administration of a comprehensive range of programs and services for students; supports a campus culture that promotes the academic achievement and personal development of all students; provides oversight and assistance with student related conduct and crisis response; and maintains the integrity of the athletic programs to ensure adherence to Title IX of the Education Amendment Act. The Vice President serves as a critical leader to foster an appreciation and respect for diversity and works with stakeholders to promote a shared governance environment. May serve as the Title IX Coordinator or Deputy.
