Posting Summary:
The UVM Bookstore is seeking a team member to assist in the smooth operation of Henderson's Café. This team member will prepare coffee and specialty drinks, operate a cash register, clean and maintain the workspace and lounge area, maintain displays, stock items as needed, and work with work study students to ensure a high level of service and product delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):
High School diploma required. An understanding of basic retail practices and knowledge of computer operations required. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice and training, fostering a collaborative multicultural environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
Familiarity with retail sales and operations desired.
Experience in a fast-paced restaurant or café experience very desirable.
Anticipated Pay Range:
$18.50/hr to $19.50/hr
Other Information:
Must be able to work some weekends, evenings, and occasional university holidays with occasional overtime.
Special Conditions:
Bargaining Unit Position - United Electrical Workers, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Weekend work required, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required, Background Check required for this position
