This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Rods Manufacturing Technician in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Rods/Bundles/Cages Product Center in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include:


  • HRR Rods Fabrication - loading pellets into Rods, welding of end caps, rod inspection.


  • Duties will vary according to the specific area to which employee is assigned; however, all assignments involve training to gain knowledge of applicable Standard Operating Procedures, Process Specifications, and Quality Control Standards.

  • Must be willing to work around chemicals.

  • Must be willing to work shift rotation.

  • Will be asked to work around radiation.


  • Basic parts preparation per SWIs/SOPs.


  • Performs basic assembly and fabrication operations.


  • May utilize scales, calipers, cutters, crimp tools, inspection tools and various other small hand tools in the daily operation of job.


  • Accurately enter/scan completed production data into system.


  • Set up and perform the most common or routine dimensional and visual inspections in an assigned area.


  • Moves material and product in the work area by proper handling method.


  • Keeps work area and equipment clean and orderly.


  • May assist with minor equipment maintenance, repair and inspection, following detailed procedures, and report defects to supervision.


  • During lull periods of production, may be required to work in other cost centers. This may include cleaning and wearing a respirator.


  • Properly handles hazardous materials.


  • Performs job duties in a safe manner.

Framatome's Richland, WA facility is a licensed nuclear fuel manufacturing site and complies with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and US Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. Your Total Rewards Package



The starting pay rate for this position is $21.00 per hour and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
