Position Overview
A maintenance foreman will be in charge of overall repair and maintenance on equipment at the plant.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Ensures that all employees are working safely in a safe environment. This includes:
o Implementation and enforcement of the CRH Fundamentals of Fatality Elimination
o Enforcing the safety rules set by APAC, OMG and CRH
o Utilize TRACK, vehicle condition reports (VCR), workplace exams, employee feedback and site inspections to identify and correct workplace safety issues.
o Use 5s and best practice to drive organization of parts, equipment and inventory.
o Help establish the "Mentoring Program".
o Chair an internal Safety Committee.
o Lead daily T5's as directed by superintendent
Schedule maintenance employees and equipment to meet current demand. This task needs to be reviewed daily to meet the personnel needs of the plant operations.
o PM / Maintenance Management system. Utilize E-maint and CMMS to schedule preventative maintenance on a recurring schedule per Mfg. guidelines. Research and upload these guidelines for all equipment.
o Daily production schedule. Work in coordination with Supt. and other foreman to ensure equipment availability. Utilize the whiteboard and PEAK data to identify bottleneck and bad actors for areas of focus.
o Weekly production schedule. Identify shortfalls and adjust schedule as needed.
o Review plant requirements daily. Schedule equipment downtime in the safest, most efficient manner.
o Daily review of workplace exams and VCRs to identify repairs needed
o Daily management and scheduling of welders, oilers and maintenance personnel to meet production demands.
o Management of subcontractors for plant and mobile equipment needs.
o Work with sourcing and purchasing to identify and capitalize on OMG sourcing programs.
o Daily entry or approval of DTR's as directed by the superintendent
Parts Management
o Develop a critical component inventory for the facility.
§ Ensure that all critical parts are available or on hand. Develop an inventory system for these parts.
o Develop a supplier list for all parts that are not "off the shelf"
Mine planning. Coordinate personnel and equipment to carry forward with the active mapping of the plant. Utilize existing surveys, survey equipment, and QC data to help plan plant operations.
Efficiency. Maximize production capabilities of equipment and personnel using performance management techniques. To include:
o Daily, weekly review of whiteboards, metrics and scorecards.
o Weekly review of production goals. Identify shortfalls and perform root cause analysis to mitigate problems.
Financials / Accounting.
o Monthly review with plant superintendent of operating reports and forecasting tools.
Human Resources
o Monitor morale and well-being of employees.
o Discipline of employees as needed.
o Work with plant superintendent with hiring's, training, and terminations.
Active management of the plant operations. To include:
o On site plant operation visits on a regular basis.
o Conduct safety, 5s and regulatory compliance inspections
o Active involvement in the hourly management of the production process. Hourly Call outs
Ensures compliance with applicable government agencies to include: MSHA and ADEQ. Be familiar with regulations as they apply to our operations.
Management. Expected to fill in for any temporary vacancy of management.
Quality Control. Become proficient in QC to the level of a backup technician.
Plant. Learn all tasks on the plant to the level of a backup operator. Focus is on the plant crusher.
Equipment. Expected to be able to operate all equipment.
Perform other duties as needed / assigned
Qualifications

Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED
Work Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to complete required MSHA training within 90 days of employment
Must be able to complete Miner training prior to working in facility
Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.
Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined per company policy.
Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA. Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to, for this position is: Face Shield, Safety (hard toe) Shoes and Safety Vest.
