Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field. Six years' experience in an office environment with database management, or a related field. Experience with a non-profit organization is desirable. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Plans, organizes and directs day-to-day operations of large volume, daily, data entry including gift and membership processing and database updates for the Advancement Services department. Develops and implements strategies to support new technology implementations to increase efficiencies of these operations.
Manages and oversees staff who perform gift processing, membership processing and database updates within the division of University Advancement. Establishes goals and objectives to build and maintain an accurate database of alumni and friends. Provides reports, mailing lists, and email lists for the Vice President of Alumni Relations, the Director of Annual Fund, and staff. Implements, coordinates, monitors and evaluates internal policies and procedures related to Advancement Services. Interprets and applies Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax laws and regulations as they apply to gift processing. Identifies areas of needed change and makes recommendations to improve operations related to reporting, data entry and database management. Plans, assigns, and supervises data entry staff and student employees. Acts as the representative for the department when the Director is absent. Trains staff and student employees. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws. Ability to manage business functions. Communicates with other university departments, personnel, and other agencies.
This position may be designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).
Up to 20% of this position, over the fiscal year during off-peak periods, may be performed remotely as determined by the supervisor.
