Serves as a fellow in the Department of Dermatology, Division of Medical Dermatology. This fellowship will be set up on an 80%-20% model. For 80% of the time, fellows will receive exceptional training in complex dermatology and will rotate in wound clinic, rheumatology-dermatology clinic, complex dermatology clinic, psoriasis-psoriatic arthritis clinic, clinical trials and inpatient dermatology. As part of this time, fellows will also have dedicated time in dermatopathology to review slides from the complex patients as well as protected time for research and scholarship. The fellows will also have research mentorship with the goal of presenting at local or national conferences.
For 20% of the time, fellows will have the unique opportunity to function as an independent dermatologist where he/she will see general dermatology patients in clinic.
This unique 80%-20% mix has the unparalleled benefit of providing both mentorship and guidance in treatment of complex dermatology diseases, while also helping the fellow continue to build and maintain his or her general dermatology skills and confidence as an independent dermatologist.
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
:
M.D. or equivalent required; successful completion of a dermatology residency training program from an accredited institution is required; current licensure from the State of Ohio to practice medicine is required. Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen and background check.
