Meta Infrastructure Business Operations (IBOS) is seeking an experienced Field Logistics Operations Specialist to focus on end-to-end lifecycle of our Data Center support and structure of operations and execution, to include support of Point of Presence, Warehouse & Distribution operational processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with all logistics site leadership in their region as well as supporting global efforts to oversee regional Data Centers' organizational operations to ensure execution is developed and implemented consistently and efficiently. In addition to leveraging past experience and insights, the candidate should quickly be comfortable to understand complexities of IBOS operations, processes, and tools and possess the ability to proactively identify important problems to address. This position requires excellent communication and collaboration skills; a natural orientation to data analytics; project management; process optimization and organization structure, and deep understanding of logistics processes and systems for internal and external alignment of IBOS programs and projects.
Field Logistics Operations Specialist Responsibilities:
Be a point of contact as a highly technical expert with experience in the life cycle of Data Center
Holistically assess complex set of internal logistics systems and tools
Drive improvements utilizing data analytics and monitor success across the region
Integrate cross-functional team tools and contribute to holistic roadmap
Articulate and lead technical discussions across the region and be a subject matter expert with strategic influence and implications
Support requirements and drive development of aggressive roadmaps to meet the needs of the team, and partner teams
Handle multiple ongoing projects simultaneously while keeping regional leaders informed on their progress
Operate in a rapidly evolving, often ambiguous environment, ability to process new information and re-prioritize as needed
Work directly with leaders and teams to help guide and influence complex logistics network and operations for the regional teams, with global impact in mind
Partner closely with upstream teams on compliance, regulatory, and policy requirements to ensure minimizing risk while scaling our operations
Follows current trends, their impact on business strategies, and their implications for creating sustainable and scalable operations models
Support and monitor costs within the region to include contracted labor, vehicles, warehousing operations, and new site start up
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years experience in Logistics or Supply Chain
Experience in SOX compliance
Experience in as-is/to-be business process mapping, gap analysis, requirements elicitation and data analysis
Experience handling project management responsibilities (prioritization, planning, scheduling, status reporting)
Effective communication and relationship skills, creative problem solving, attention to detail, interpersonal skills. Liaise and partner on behalf of data centers to headquarter teams and cross functional IDC partners
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with full life-cycle Data Center operations support in a hyper-scale environment
Experience in influencing and developing strategy across multiple teams, provided contributions to change trajectory of important initiatives beyond immediate organization
Experience with Oracle/ERP systems, MS office suite, WMS, TMS and supply chain tools
Experience in identifying process gaps, engineer processes and distribute across regional data center campuses
