Job Description:

Position Summary:

Responsible for the reception area at The Spa and Salon.  Warm greeting to all members/guests, answering phone calls, assisting members/guests with questions regarding spa services, scheduling of spa services, checking the member /guest into the computer system (Club Essentials), assisting member/guest to locker room, charging for services performed and overall cleanliness throughout spa.

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer skills.

  • Provide at all times courteous guest service to all members/guests.

  • Must be able to initiate and engage in conversations in a professional and friendly manner.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be multi task oriented.

  • Must be able to work well with others and as a team.

  • Schedule appointments accurately.

  • Must be able to handle the computer system and all point-of-sale handling procedures.

  • Answer phones promptly and friendly.

  • Must be able to work well under pressure.

  • Maintain a clean and well-organized workstation.

  • Assist in locker room as needed.

  • Refrain from discussing company or personal business with guests or members.

Marginal Job Functions:


  • Knowledge of all spa & salon services.

  • Perform other tasks assigned by Spa Supervisor and the Director of Spa and Salon.

  • Participate and attend in all training classes and staff meetings.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:


  • Fast paced environment.

  • Must be multi task oriented. 

  • Must be detail oriented, friendly, outgoing and have excellent communication and computer skills.

  • Must be able to tolerate a close-knit environment with constant co-work involvement.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, staff may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the country club.  In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Current CPR certification preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years minimum experience at a country club, hotel or spa setting.

Physical Requirements:


  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.

  • Able to stand for a long period of time (up to average 8-hour shifts)

  • Frequent bending, pushing, pilling, and kneeling.

  • Frequent walking

  • Must be able to sit, stand, crouch, stoop and knell when assisting Members with their needs.
