Baer is looking for a GCP Looker Developer for a 10-month Federal remote project.

Description:
Design and develop data visualizations, reports, and dashboards using Google Looker to provide business insights and support decision-making processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze data requirements, translating them into effective data models and Looker solutions.
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from Google BigQuery and other data sources into Looker.
Utilize LookML to create reusable data models and optimize performance for efficient querying and data exploration.
Implement Looker API to automate and integrate Looker functionalities with other platforms and tools within the organization.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across dashboards and reports by establishing robust validation and testing processes.
Work closely with data engineers and data scientists to integrate Big Data Analytics solutions with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Develop scalable data solutions on GCP, leveraging BigQuery to handle large datasets and ensure efficient data processing and querying.
Provide support for Looker deployments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and performance of Looker dashboards.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in Google Looker, GCP, and data visualization best practices, continuously improving existing solutions.
Lead data governance efforts, ensuring compliance with data security and privacy standards across all analytics platforms.
Requirements:
8+ years of relevant experience in data analytics and visualization, with a strong focus on Google Looker, Big Data Analytics, and Google BigQuery.
Advanced proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries for data extraction and transformation.
Strong knowledge of LookML, with experience in designing reusable data models and ensuring high-performance querying.
Experience using Looker API for integration and automation.
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly in data services such as BigQuery.
Proven ability to analyze large datasets, generate insights, and deliver data-driven recommendations through dashboards and visualizations.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in a relevant field. If the degree is not in the applicable field, four additional years of related experience is required.
Public Trust Security Clearance is the lowest level of additional background screening that the federal government requires for applicants of certain jobs, which includes completing a form.
