The Mixer Operator is primarily responsible for operation of the batching system. The main goal will be to mix (batch) all feed ordered for pelleting & packing. In doing so, he/she must be able to successfully run feed by coordinating batching system and its supporting systems; he/she must also be able to correctly sequence all feed; make sure to send all feed to the correct locations; regularly maintain/clean the mixer and supporting systems; familiarize self with products and their required specifications; and anything else supervisor requires.

PAY: $24.04
Weekends and Overtime as needed, may be required to be on-call in case of emergency
New Hire Bonus: $500 after completing 30 day probationary period, $1,000 after completing 6 months of employment and $1,000 after completing 12 months of employment. Total of $2,500.
Job Duties:
Works safely and follows all safety procedures and safety requirements including but not limited to Lock out tag out (LOTO), Personal Protective Equipment, Fall Protection, Auger Safety, Confined Space and Housekeeping.
Correctly interprets and follows forward sequencing advice.
Completes all required sections of the production log accurately and thoroughly.
Sets up the run in the batching system.
Mixing discharge. Makes sure correct route is made upon discharge.
Verifies correct micro is used for each work order by comparing micro ticket IDs to micro-IDs in E1.
Verifies correct formula by comparing formula version/issue numbers on the work order to the process control version number.
Add correct amount for each hand add (liquid or bagged).
Monitors ingredient inventory (bagged and bulk). Makes sure there are enough ingredients prior to
Follow written instructions in the notes section in the system and/or supervisor's line up print out.
REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED
18 years or older
Forklift certified
Must have basic computer and math skills
Must be able to work safely and use equipment in a safe manner
Ensures a safe working environment while performing assigned tasks
Required to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety gloves, hearing protection, a respirator or dust mask, protective footwear and protective clothing or uniforms
Communicates work order progress to supervisor and production operators
Self-reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision
Customer focused and able to work in a collaborative team
Miscellaneous assignments as required by management

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to repeatedly lift at least 55 pounds using safe lifting practices throughout shift
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust to focus
Required to walk, stand, reach, lift, climb or balance and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and use both hands and fingers, to handle, or feel, repeatedly throughout the shift
Able to work in a dusty environment and in a cold/hot environment where temperatures can vary
Not afraid of heights
Each day may require the completion of different duties or priorities with different skill sets or requirements
