Job Description:

The Physical Therapy Technician (PT Tech) at Southaven is responsible for greeting and processing patients for admission into the Physical Therapy center as well as maintaining treatment areas and equipment and assisting the Physical Therapists.

We are looking for someone who can:

• Schedule patient appointments
• Answer the phone and manage calls to patients
• Verify and pre-certify insurance benefits; build insurance cases
• Coordinate meetings and schedules
• Prepare, maintain and clean the treatment areas to ensure appropriate patient care
• Clean and maintain equipment with safety check list to ensure patient safety
• Keep up with daily supplies (braces, etc.)
• Transport patients to and from treatment areas and provide guarding for safety during exercise as needed
• Assist patient in dressing and undressing, and putting on and removing supportive devices such as braces, splints and slings before and after treatments
• Obtain forms such as Oswestry or Neck Disability Index when needed

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of related experience and/or training
