Plateau is a rapidly growing information technology company specializing in data analytics, customer engagement, IT Support, and Knowledge Management in the Greater Washington DC area. We are seeking a Capture Manager who has proven experience establishing or growing an existing Department of Defense agency portfolio who can help us establish a presence in our strategically aligned opportunities as part of our aggressive growth strategy.


Provide strategic and tactical leadership to position Plateau GRP with new clients, build a qualified pipeline, create opportunity win strategies, generate winning solutions, and drive proposal development. The right candidate will have the opportunity to build on their experience, network and successes developing work in agencies new to Plateau GRP.

Requirements:

General responsibilities include leading management and staff through all stages of the business development and capture management process with a focus on developing high quality strategies and solutions to win new business. The Capture Manager works closely with senior management and the capture and proposal team to build upon existing programs/capabilities/relationships and to develop, influence, and shape Plateau GRP's market strategies to support growth targets.


This role reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Federal Solutions


Specific Capture Manager activities include:


Responsible for identifying, shaping, and capturing federal services opportunities in assigned accounts.

Lead business development and capture process to include customer contact, opportunity identification and analysis, competitive intelligence, gap analysis, and being directly involved in teaming strategy, teaming agreements, and supporting proposal responses.

Oversee capture, competitive analysis, teaming, partnership arrangements, pricing formulation (price to win), bids, and proposals.

Develop and maintain pipeline of opportunities, new customers, and projects in accounts through direct or indirect customer contact.

Communicate the value proposition through technology-centric presentations and proposals at industry events, conferences, and pre-sales events.

Implement and develop Partnership Management Strategy by forming commercial and strategic relationships that align with strategic goals and growth strategy.

Manage outward Client facing relationships and grow client portfolio.

Foster relationships with large business federal contractors, federal government contract officers and program managers, contract officers, and other personnel to identify opportunities.

Developing a strong understanding of both customer issues and our information technology and consulting services to help align our services to address their issues.

Highly developed analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills and understanding of GWACs, BOAs, SBIRs, Growth Operations (data, metrics, budget, compliance), and finances (P&L).

Conduct opportunity and information searches for opportunities using tools such as FBO, FPDS, USASpending, Customer Forecasts, and internal databases.

Must display an extremely high level of verbal and written communication skills to present and inform customers of the company's understanding of customer needs and requirements and ability to meet these requirements.

Help support other teammates as required and assist as necessary in improving business development, capture, and strategic planning processes within the organization.

Requirements:


15+ years working in Federal DoD government contracting and specifically, Army Business Development, P&L Management, Capture, and Pricing formulation that drive top-line growth.

Experience in federal government contracting: 10 years (Preferred)

Experience in DoD with a specific focus on Army Business Development Capture: 10 years (Preferred)

Experience in managing major GWAC and IDIQs in DoD and Army: 5 years (Preferred)

Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal); ability to effectively articulate our mission and offerings in a clear and compelling manner.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook); willingness to learn customized software and databases solutions.

Able to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret Clearance preferred
