The Select Group has a top client seeking a Mobile App Tester to support their growth marketing operations. This person will be testing campaigns that are built on a CRM tool. This is a 12-month contract (with possible extensions) and is hybrid in Austin, TX or Cupertino, CA.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have 5+ years' experience in Quality Assurance and/or User Acceptance Testing for consumer-facing mobile applications- (for example: high volume mobile transaction systems)
Must be able to create test strategy and test design for a native/hybrid mobile application
Experience with design, development and execution of end-to-end tests across multiple integrated systems
Test design for global communications, across different devices and different languages
Experience working on test automation for iOS applications using Python, Swift, or other related languages
Experience with both automated and manual testing - this position is 60% manual, 40% automation
Experience with validation of native mobile applications
PLUS SKILLS:
Experience with creation of end-to-end, functional and integrated automated tests for mobile platforms
Notification testing experience (testing email, push notifications, SMS, on mobile devices, etc.)
Marketing experience
Someone who is currently working on automation
DAY TO DAY:
Look at upcoming campaigns, go through requirements, come up with scenarios and test cases, then execute those test cases on web and mobile
Automate any test cases - not developing anything from scratch - will be responsible for adding/enhancing and integrating their code into the tool
Develop test strategy, test plan, test cases, and test scripts
Perform testing of on-device experiences for users on a wide range of mobile applications
60% mobile testing, 40% web testing
60% manual, 40% automation
Work on multiple initiatives and prioritize feature and campaign testing along with documentation and on-time delivery of end-to-end testing
Provide the testing scope/overview documentation, test plan, test results, and associated tickets for resolution/prioritization
Timely communication of status and progress including Test Status reports, Test Metrics, Progress Reports, Coverage Reports, Defects Reports, and associated documentation
Participate in a peer review process for testing
Work cross functionally to provide insights to gaps in the testing process
