Job Summary:

The Urgent Care Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include assessing and triaging patients, administering treatments, and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans. The RN also educates patients on health management and follow-up care. Strong clinical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work under pressure are essential for success in this role. A valid nursing license is required, and experience in urgent care or emergency settings is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Plans, implements, evaluates, and delivers patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Maintains clinical skills and competency through orientation, annual and ongoing education, and clinical practice.
• Follows Tribal Health and client specific policy and procedures.
• Assess and triage patients presenting with acute illnesses or injuries
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient care accurately and completely
• All other duties assigned and specified by clinical assignment and site.

Requirements:

• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Any unencumbered RN state license
• More than 1 year of experience working in Urgent Care or ED Setting
• Ability to administrate vaccines to all age groups (6 weeks to geriatric)
• Experience with COVID testing and vaccine administration for all age group (6 weeks to geriatric).
• May be asked to float to respiratory clinic for help with covid patients as needed.
• 3x12 hour shifts per week - willing to work holidays/weekend if requested
