looking for a highly motivated Medical Affairs Manager who is passionate about patient-centric HIV care, prevention and Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP). Candidate must be a self-starter with a proven track record of success in prior roles. They will play a critical and exciting role in helping the Medical Affairs organization support current PrEP therapies and launch its future HIV prevention pipeline products. The Manager will report to the Sr. Director and will work directly with the US and Global teams.
Essential Duties and Job Functions: • As a content manager and product expert, serves as a key contributor and knowledge expert for HIV Prevention Medical Affairs. • Independently manages projects related to analysis of Client, emerging data and determine relevant information to incorporate into medical content trainings. • Participates in Medical Affairs global activities including management of publication and conference data and medical sub team meetings. • Manages the creation, review, and updating of assigned Medical Affairs slide decks, local and global response documents and other medical training documents. • Works collaboratively with Medical Scientists, Medical Information, Clinical Research and Clinical Pharmacology to support responses to medical inquiries. • Works collaboratively with personnel across multiple functional areas, including Commercial, Marketing, Clinical Research, Pharmacovigilance and Epidemiology, Public Affairs, Government Affairs, Regulatory, and Legal to align indication strategic plan. • Provides medical and scientific input on Independent Medical Education, Grants, Investigator-Sponsored Research, Collaborative Research, and Promotional Review Committee • Attends medical conferences to assess/gather relevant information and support activities related to conference deck development and training. • Collaborates with Senior Director to develop global Plan of Action and ensure alignment of team activities • Provides training within the therapeutic area on relevant topics for Medical Affairs and Commercial personnel and help create and review new hire training materials. • Develops and Maintains HIV Sharepoint Page to disseminate information on current and future HIV prevention products • Supports HIV Medical Affairs Advisory Programs, as needed
Knowledge, Experience and Skills: • MD, DO, NP, PA, PharmD or other advanced health care degree, • 1-3 years industry experience preferred • Relevant clinical experience in HIV needed • Experience in provision of medical information, slide development, medical writing and promotional review committee preferred • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are required, with experience in preparing and delivering PowerPoint presentations • Experienced with patient-centric care desired • Committed to continuing education to maintain knowledge base • Ability to utilize moderately complex scientific resources across a variety of different settings • Ability to work collaboratively and experience working on cross-functional teams • Ability to travel to domestic and international conferences which will include occasional weekend travel is required
