Key Responsibilities of the Network Manager:
Responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and managing all SDWAN, LAN, WiFi, and perimeter systems across multiple divisions and sites.
Interface with Facilities management at each site to maintain and improve cabling/cable management systems, and IDFs as required.
Manage internal and external DNS infrastructure for a few dozen domains, and assist with DMARC, DKIM, and SPF maintenance.
Improve/expand the monitoring of networking infrastructure and other critical services based on continuously improving metrics.
Ensure BC/DR for all networked systems (baseline architecture survivability) meets organization requirements, participate in improving DR, as well as planning and testing of BC/DR procedures.
Manage networking ESPs, cloud services, and interface with our Legal group for contract negotiation/renewals while maintaining cost tracking & controls.
Requirements of the Network Manager:
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Computer Science, I.T., or related field
Minimum 10 years of networking experience, preferably in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or medical device organizations
Cisco & Palo Alto platform and CCNP or higher / equivalent experience, functional experience with Visio and related network diagraming and documentation, and experience in multi-site, multi-company IT environments is required.
Very strong technical networking skills across multiple platforms, including but not limited to: IP routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, static), VoIP, QoS, 802.1x, VLANs, IPSec and SSL VPNs, firewalls, load balancing and failover in multi-path environments, RADIUS, NAT/PAT, ACLs/Security Policies required.
Full-stack OSI understanding required.
Experience coordinating remote site non-IT staff and Network team supervision, working with packet capture and analysis (e.g. Wireshark), PKI, internal and external certificate authorities, managing private data centers, environmental monitoring & controls, and power protection, and working knowledge of telephony systems (Cisco UC) preferred
Familiarity with cybersecurity & related regulations/frameworks is a significant plus (ISO 2700x, NIST 800-xxx, DFARS, GDPR, CCPA/Mass DPL, etc.).
