Supervises and supports CT staff of Gas Enhanced QA/QC Inspectors including identification of priorities of assignments and support of inspection and audit activities. Performs focused and random independent audits per the Gas Enhanced QA/QC Plan of construction and maintenance-related activities related to safety, quality and productivity and assure that operating procedures, materials, policies, and procedures are all aligned to prevent future gas safety and quality compliance issues. Interfaces with construction workforce, public and regulatory agencies as required. Prepares and communicates reports for various activities in the department. Participates in team meetings to review findings and corrective actions.
Requirements:
Minimum 7 years of gas distribution, & operations experience,
Demonstrated understanding of gas utility operations and regulatory requirements,
Knowledge of Gas Engineering, Construction and Maintenance standards in accordance with regulatory requirements,
On-Call Required,
Operator Qualifications Required,
Demonstrated advanced competency with a variety of software platforms, essential for leveraging current and emerging technologies in inspection, auditing, GIS, and root cause analysis.
Proven experience in supervising and leading a team.
Education:
Minimum: High school diploma
Preferred:
Extensive experience in creating detailed reports, auditing records, and tracking trends.
Gas related certifications- API, AMPP (NACE), AWS, INGAA.
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to supervise, lead and mentor as necessary staff of Gas QA/QC Inspectors
Work independently on assigned activities.
Participate in implementation of corrective actions.
Participate in monthly meetings with Inspectors, Supervisors, Managers, Directors, Contractors reporting on status of findings and corrective action plans.
Ability to provide inspection and audit services across multiple Operating Companies as an individual's expertise and QC opportunities develop.
Track trends and make further recommendations on the Enhanced QA/QC Plan.
Interface and support Operations, Gas Supply, Regulatory Affairs to achieve relevant Company goals.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
Ability to follow up and follow through with action items and dependencies.
Possess the ability to work across organizational lines within the company.
Conduct field audits and perform office-based tasks, ensuring comprehensive oversight.
Flexible and willing to step up to take on tasks beyond a job description as required.
Ability to manage competing priorities.
