Responsibilities:
Fabricate and modify RF microwave hybrid modules and sub-assemblies of mid to high complexity.
Install connectors, substrates, components, and modules in complex microwave assemblies using paste and sheet epoxies.
Perform disassembly, assembly, modification, rework, and repair on pre-production subassemblies, assemblies, and systems with integrated circuit technology.
Isolate problem areas from test failure sheets and rework the rejected units accordingly.
Plan and prioritize work sequences to meet schedule requirements.
Use measurement equipment (e.g., reticle, drop indicator) to verify that units meet specifications.
Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering to develop procedures and troubleshoot products.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Must have at least a DoD Interim Secret Clearance; Secret Clearance preferred.
Previous experience in electronics/microelectronics assembly.
Ability to work 10 hours under a microscope and utilize hand tools like torque drivers, tweezers, and similar tools.
Ability to read detailed process sheets and technical drawings.
Good computer skills for retrieving drawings, work instructions, and supporting job activities.
Ability to work second shift (3:00 PM - 1:30 AM).
Desired Skills:
Experience working in ESD and FOD-controlled environments.
Familiarity with mechanical assembly processes for small electronic devices.
Experience working on military products in ISO 9001 / AS9100 controlled environments.
Experience soldering components to printed wiring boards in accordance with J-STD-001.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
