As a key member of the Merchandising team this person will lead and manage the operational support of the merchandising organization and cross-functional departments including but not limited to FP&A, Sales Effectiveness and Supply Chain Operations. Specifically, partners with internal merchandising and cross-functional support teams on organizational operations and execution of assortment, pricing, and other operational tasks (item and supplier onboarding, national account support, etc.). Core Responsibilities Include:
Act as support and change management for the core category focused Merchandising team.
Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and documentation across the Merchandising team, including but not limited to QBR and supplier reporting templates/schedules.
Seek out and implement opportunities to continuously improve operations for the Merchandising Function across the category, assortment, costing and administrative teams.
Organize and coordinate content for internal Merchandising team meetings, focusing on key elements of the Voice of Associate feedback.
Manage projects, holding all levels of the Merchandising team accountable, as assigned by the Merchandising Leadership Team.
Manage the Merchandise Team onboarding program including program management, team onboarding, and training.
Work, in collaboration with Category and Assortment Managers to build and execute strategies relating to Elite Supplier Partner Programs and Exclusive Brand penetration.
BradyPLUS Cross Functional Support:
Serve as primary Merchandising liaison across all BradyPLUS operating functions. Specifically, focusing on those functions which directly impact on the day-to-day operations of the Merchandising team (i.e. Supplier Onboarding and Item Creation)
Work with cross-functional business partners on challenges across the organization including serving as business process expert on merchandising tasks and processes.
Other tasks to be assigned by Merchandising Leadership and the BradyPlus Executive team as needed.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree a plus
8+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing and procurement
5+ years in Merchandising and/or Distribution environment
3 years’ experience in project management
3 years’ experience in business strategy and development
Advanced Microsoft applications experience with reporting tool experience
Strong communication skills across all levels of organization
Strong analytical and financial skills and strong business acumen
Ability to present findings to leadership and implement findings across cross-functional peer groups
