Duties will include but are not limited to

·Director of the Frost Band Program, including the Frost Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Winds, Band of the Hour, and University Band.

·Serve as conductor of the Frost Wind Ensemble.

·Direct doctoral, master's, and artist diploma students in wind conducting.

·Teach and develop graduate and undergraduate courses in conducting, literature, pedagogy, and related fields.

·Assist in mentoring graduate students and maintaining the excellence of the graduate programs in wind conducting, including recruiting, advising, supervising dissertations, and providing support for a small cohort of doctoral, masters and artist diploma students.

·Work closely with staff and other faculty in maintaining and building on the international reputation of the band program at the Frost School of Music.

·Maintain an active performance schedule with Frost Wind Ensemble and guest-conducting ensembles nationally and internationally.

Qualifications:

·Doctorate preferred; master's degree required.

·Experience as a collegiate ensemble leader

·Experienced music educator who maintains an active creative, research, and service agenda at the local, state/regional levels.
