Job Description:

Gallopade is seeking an eLearning Support and QA Specialist to join our rapidly growing company as part of our Product Development Department. The eLearning Support and QA Specialist will be responsible for reviewing all digital educational materials for accuracy. This role will support the editing, proofreading, and testing of materials before they are finalized for release. This role ensures that product content, data, and performance are precise and functioning. This role is a key contributor within the Product Development Department. It is a full-time position, on-site at our Peachtree City, GA headquarters.

Description:

The eLearning Support and QA Specialist will work with the digital team lead to facilitate the development and release of new digital products, features, enhancements, updates, and corrections. These deliverables must be done in scope, on time, and within budget to meet our customers' expectations. This job requires strong attention to detail and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Test, edit, and proofread all digital products keeping the end-user (teachers and students) in mind
  • Manage QA projects, prioritizing the elimination of errors and bugs
  • Solve/troubleshoot technical problems
  • Take feedback from the team lead, team members, and clients and discern what changes, if any, need to be made to resolve the presenting issue and prevent future occurrences
  • Effectively present designs, communication rationale, and trade-offs, and be receptive to feedback
  • Communicate with team members, gather feedback, and iterate quickly
  • Differentiate recommendations for changes based on the audience
  • Keep up to date with new software and industry standards
  • Engage the team/management before final decisions and directions
  • Perform at a high level in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be open to change
  • Passionately protect and adhere to the Gallopade user experience, including our values, voice, brand, and mission

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years of user experience design, human-computer interaction, web design and development, or related field experience
  • Software: CSS, HTML, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Word, Excel
  • Flexibility; ability to manage a variety of tasks, projects, and deadlines
  • Detail-oriented; strong proofreader
  • Efficient and productive; strong work ethic
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Support systems change initiatives across the department
  • Record and prioritize errors and corrections promptly
  • Implement department-specific tools, data collection, and other solutions as needed, assisting with requirements-gathering as needed
  • Create and continuously improve Data Integrity Compliance based on functional applicability
  • Implement reporting and metrics based on the requirements and strategic direction of the director; analyze data for trends and communicate insights for actionable application within the Product Development Department

Experience With:

  • Agile methodologies
  • Functional, regression, and end-to-end testing - manual and automated
  • API integration, automation, and reporting
  • Software: CSS; HTML, JavaScript, and Python are required
  • Knowledge of iOS required
  • Knowledge of SQL preferred
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in cloud-based software design/development
  • Experience in any of the following areas is a plus: content or asset management software, instructional design, and K-8 curriculum resources
  • Knowledge of QA Testing methodologies, software, and testing life cycles
  • Must have troubleshooting/debugging experience
  • Strong organizational skills, tracking multiple test executions simultaneously, and ability to synthesize the results
  • Strong hold on testing fundamentals, testing techniques, and methodologies, SDLC
  • Process testing types like Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Manual, Functional, and Cross
  • Browser, Integration Testing, etc.
  • Good understanding of functional and UI-level Tests
  • Flexibility; ability to manage a variety of tasks, projects, and deadlines; detail-oriented
  • Efficient and productive; strong work ethic and strong time management and organizational skills
