Offal Room Attendant





I. ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF THE JOB

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:


Monitoring and maintaining the operations located in the offal room.


The Offal Room Attendant is responsible for the operation of the offal room with emphasis on the equipment used for the chicken mix operation. Monitors the operation of the vacuum system, grinder pump and contherms to insure proper product flow for the pet food account. Sprays offal reels as necessary. Inspects augers and holding bin for offal flow. Rotates offal trailers for material transport. Use of both hands and arms required. Rotates trailers for the pet food account. Must be able to tolerate hot/humid environments. Tyson team members are required to follow proper hygiene practices Safety procedures to be used in and around the work areas All other duties as required by management



II. MUSCULAR/SKELETAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB



Standing 100% of the work shift with breaks. Bending, twisting, stooping, and reaching required to place birds on the line for processing. Good hand / eye coordination. Subject to external environment, heat and cold. Capable of working in excess of 8 hours per shift and up to 6 or 7 days per week when required.



III. MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, DIPLOMA OR TECHNICAL EXPERTISE Required TO PERFORM THE JOB FUNCTIONS



On the job training provided. Good previous work and attendance record. Capable of performing all listed job functions. Must be able to read and write. Must have very good basic math skills. Must be willing to work weekends when required.
