Position Summary
An Assembler III is responsible for performing highly complex, repetitive, manual assembly tasks. The assembly tasks for which this individual is responsible are typically comprised of multiple-step, difficult operations and may involve complex testing and decision-making. The assembler is also responsible for ensuring that medical devices are assembled with the highest quality possible.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• All Essential Duties & Responsibilities of Assembler I and II, in addition to those outlined below:
o Able to perform complex visual, functional tests and investigations on product. Capable of using test and investigation data to determine appropriate course of action for product manufacture/rework/refurbishment.
o Operating within a small margin of error, the assembler will be required to frequently assemble complex finished goods. (Proficient in Tier 1 customized - tracheostomy devices and True Custom Made devices) - Custom Labs
o Able to learn highly complex operations easily and quickly
o Able to demonstrate flexibility and efficiency in performing multiple manual operations of high complexity. Highly complex operations:
§ Involve very difficult tasks with multiple steps
§ May involve complex testing and decision making requirements
o Train Assembler I and II
o Able to read and understand complex drawings and translate that information into customized device
o Assist engineering team on projects
o Work on improvement projects (Root cause analysis, troubleshooting and solution oriented)
• Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
• Able to read and understand procedures
• Basic Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Word) and computer experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years' experience preferred
• Must be 18 years of age
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
• This job operates in a clean room environment
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for the duration of the shift
• Must be able to repetitively move and lift objects of up to 20 lbs
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
• Will Use solvents and glue
• Must be able to perform visual inspections with and without the aid of magnification tools
