This position directs the Treasury division to include fare revenue equipment; by assuring the appropriate security and maintenance of revenue retrieval activities such as vault pulling, platform validators, TVM collections, Retail Point of Sale (RPOS) equipment, transport and counting of coins and currency and maintaining secured storage and distribution of fare media.
Duties & Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL:
Recruits staff to include interviewing, hiring, assigning work, training, coaching, and counseling to ensure consistent application of Employee Guidelines, processes, and procedures. Conducts performance review, and holds employees accountable for performance of their responsibilities.
Administers financial and operational reviews and audits to determine the effectiveness of the revenue collection procedures, inventory control, and accuracy of revenue and reconciliation data.
Directs the maintenance, repair, installation and inspection activities for the Retail Point of Sale units (RPOS), Smart Media platform validators, and Ticket Vending Machine Credit/Debit processing and ensures adequate and efficient parts inventory while providing solutions for improved equipment performance. Oversees networking functionality for fare collection equipment, plans and manages the installation of hardware and software upgrades.
Develops and manages the division budget, prepares and reviews variance responses and provides final division approval on electronic equipment hardware and software maintenance contracts.
Provides project management oversight for new projects involving fare boxes, ticket vending machines, smart card validators, Retail Point of Sale units, CCTV systems and money handling equipment. Recommends innovative solutions for efficient business processes and customer service needs.
Coordinates and plans for system-wide fare and fare media changes relating to fare policy modifications and special events. Ensures resources are planned and readily available for reliable fare equipment functionality during high activity or unusual events.
Analyzes and reports on fare collections including method of payment, impact of fees, cash collection and deposit velocity performance and recommends policy and procedural methods to improve efficiency and customer service. Investigates, analyzes and resolves discrepancies between actual and expected fare collections.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
A minimum of ten years of management level experience in administration of money handling operation.
A minimum of five years of supervisory experience.
A minimum of five years of experience in budget development.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Technical knowledge as it pertains to the Treasury function, revenue collections and revenue systems operation.
Ability to compile, analyze and interpret complex data.
Proficiency in contract administration pertaining to scopes of work, independent cost estimates and specifications.
Proficiency in budgetary processes and requirements pertaining to the development and administration of a multi-million dollar budget.
Strong leadership skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Ability to use sound judgment.
Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details.
