Summary
The Room Ready Technician must be a self-motivated individual with a drive for success that can install, maintain, and upgrade Telcom cabinets, Telcom shelters and perform all room-ready required work. Room Ready Installers should also be versatile and possess the ability to assist in any part of civil construction.
This is a safety-sensitive position.
Key Responsibilities
Safety First – Put safety first and production second. Always.
Install DC and AC power circuits, fiber jumpers, and ethernet cables.
Label and/or color code equipment, power circuits, and fibers per carrier requirements.
Maintain the project timeline as stated by the Construction Manager.
Complete daily site field reports.
Complete daily site Job Safety Analysis.
Collect all on-site closeout documentation and submit it to the closeout manager per the deliverable timelines.
Participate in continuous training offered by CMS Wireless, including weekly safety calls.
Responsible for site quality, timeliness, accuracy, and schedule. Do grounding, terminations, fastening, proper bolting and antioxidant use, support of leads, cadwelding as required, etc.
Assist on the overall job, including groundwork, all tasks required to build and install a site per customer specs, maintain a safe work environment, daily use and completion of JSA forms, assisting with overall crew work, and maintenance of vehicles and equipment, etc.

Physical Demands
This job operates in a field environment. Must be in good physical condition with the ability to routinely bend, squat, climb, kneel, push, pull, lift 50lbs or more, lift in awkward positions, stand, and twist for extended periods.
Must be willing to travel out of the market/state for up to two weeks at a time.
May be required to work long and unpredictable hours.
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes DOT physical, background check, and drug/alcohol testing and participate in the random testing program.
Must be willing to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive company vehicles. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
Technical Skills:
Must be able to work in a team environment and be a valued member of the crew and the company.
Must be able to read and understand drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specs, testing procedures, etc.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have basic computer skills.
Must be able to use an electrical multimeter for testing AC and DC circuits.
Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the proper use of common power/hand tools.
Soft Skills:
Must be able to communicate in person, by phone, and by email with team members and clients.
Must be able to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
Must be able to work on a team and independently as required.

None.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position.
Workdays and hours are typically Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some overtime requirements.
Travel
Regional travel is required for this position. Usually between 80 to 100% of the time.
Education and Experience
Required:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
Desired:
Related trade school education.
1-2 year’s experience working on a civil construction crew or electrical crew.
Demonstrated ability to lead construction crew to complete a project.
