Supervises all warehouse activities. Provide guidance, expertise and supervision to Warehouse Associates.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.
Supervise Warehouse Associates providing guidance and expertise.
Responsible for all warehouse operations on assigned shift.
Responsible for all planned objectives.
Develops work schedules and assigns employees accordingly.
Monitor & enforce all safety policies.
Complete & review accident reports.
Evaluate performance of associates.
Responsible to ensure warehouse and grounds are clean and orderly at all times.
May conduct performance reviews.
May coach, counsel and provide discipline up to and including termination of employment as necessary or recommend such to Warehouse Manager.
Performs other duties as assigned by Sr. Operations Manager or Warehouse Manager.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:
Minimum of 2 years of warehouse supervisory experience, OR 5 years of general warehouse experience.
Has knowledge of commonly used warehouse and distribution concepts, practices, and procedures.
Previous experience in a union environment preferred.
Lean or Six Sigma certifications preferred but not required.
