About the Opportunity
The Treasury Services Department has an immediate opening for an Advisor-IS, reporting to the Governance, Risk, & Compliance Manager.
What You Will Do:
Consult with clients to evaluate, recommend, design, and implement information security solutions and process improvements.
Anticipate client needs and identify security requirements by establishing personal rapport with clients and internal and external resources.
Develop and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of supported client areas.
Advise clients and leaders on best practices and how to implement process improvements that will address their needs; recommend alternative solutions and perform gap analysis to identify unaddressed needs.
Lead strategic guidance initiatives.
Be a key contributor in process improvement and long-term information security solution discussions and present outcomes to senior and division management.
Direct initiatives and oversee development and integration of new processes; communicate changes to impacted clients, resources, and senior management.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Some travel, including overnight stays, may be necessary (up to 25%).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or minimum of 4 years equivalent experience; Master's Degree preferred.
CISA (Certified Information Security Auditor), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or other security related certifications preferred.
Agile/Scrum/ITIL experience preferred.
Experience working in cloud environments preferred.
Ability to tailor communications to their appropriate audience and present information in a credible, confident, and influential manner. Communicates in a concise, direct and purposeful way

The hiring range for Advisor-IS-Experienced is $115,600 – $144,500 annually.
The hiring range for Advisor-IS-Senior is $133,000 – $166,300 annually.
The hiring range for Advisor-IS-Advanced is $147,000– $183,800 annually.
For candidates outside Richmond, VA, listed hiring and salary ranges may be adjusted based on your geographic location.
Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.
The Fifth District provides a hybrid work environment. This position is required to be onsite on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.
