As the Creative Director, you will help shape our corporate creative function and bring our brand story to life. Working closely with our SVP, Marketing & Communications and Senior Content and Brand Manager, you will guide the creative team in developing innovative omnichannel campaigns that align with our brand identity and strategy for continued growth as well as helping with brand governance.


Our preference is for this role to be based in Irvine, CA; Denver, CO; Raleigh-Durham, NC; Dallas, TX; or Houston, TX, but we are open to remote applicants for this position.

A DAY IN THE LIFE



Reporting to the SVP, of Marketing & Communications, this individual will drive the strategic direction of our diverse brand portfolio influencing business lines, external designers and other creative professionals that will help fostering a vibrant creative culture and establishing a consistent and best-in-class brand standard for Montrose. The primary duties will include:

  • Help develop and execute creative strategies that align with the company's vision and objectives across multiple brands and markets.

  • Conceptualize and oversee the creation of high-impact marketing, advertising, and thought leadership campaigns, including digital, print, video, and experiential content.

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales team to define brand positioning and ensure creative alignment with overall business strategy, inclusive of proposals.

  • Mentor and empower our talented team to ensure all creative work meets brand guidelines, maintains high standards, and delivers a consistent brand message globally.

  • Stay ahead of creative trends, innovations (Ai), and emerging technologies to incorporate cutting-edge concepts into brand campaigns.

  • Lead brainstorming sessions to foster creativity and generate new ideas that push boundaries while staying true to our core brand values.

  • Analyze the performance of creative initiatives and campaigns using key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.

  • Oversee timelines and deliverables, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of creative campaigns, leveraging insights to optimize future projects.

  • Manage the creative department's budget, efficiently allocating resources to maximize the impact of creative initiatives while ensuring cost-effectiveness.

  • Ensure all creative content complies with legal standards, industry regulations, and company policies, including intellectual property rights and accessibility guidelines.

  • Keep brand portal, self-service model and Digital Asset Management (DAM) system up to date


YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

  • 5+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within a marketing or advertising agency.

  • Bachelor/Academic degree (Marketing, Graphic Design, Fine Arts or related field) and 10+ years of relevant creative strategy experience in a global B2B environment or agency

  • A proven track record of developing compelling creative strategies and content that resonates across multiple markets and channels.

  • A thought leader, consistently advocating for and experimenting with the latest best practices in the industry to enhance design and performance outcomes.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise with design software (Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, etc.) and proficiency with digital marketing tools.

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate creative concepts clearly and concisely, and to effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

  • Innovative mindset with a passion for creativity and a keen eye for design and aesthetics.

  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of market dynamics and consumer behavior.

  • Adaptability and resilience in navigating complex global markets and brand challenges.

  • Highly effective organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage stakeholder expectations.

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (10-15%)

  • Bonus points if you have experience in the product world and video production
