The Glass Specialist works in the cold end department and performs tests on finished ware to ensure the finished product is high quality. This position ensures customer safety and satisfaction by maintaining the integrity of the finished glass containers.

Responsibilities:
Inspect finished ware for defects using visual and fingernail inspections
Monitor inspection lines and equipment for defects
Use Optical Comparator to inspect bottle dimensions and weight
Test the annealing, hot end surface coating, glass thickness, and pressure of finished ware
Perform random audits on finished ware
Maintain records of inspections and defects
Work with other departments to identify and eliminate defects
Minimum skills / qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to physically perform all related tasks associated with the position
Must be able to stand for 8 hours
Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds
Preferred skills / qualifications:
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Experience with defect identification and inspection procedures
