Job Summary
The Sr. System Engineer is responsible for testing and maintaining all KLS production, development, and testing servers. The environment includes but is not limited to different Microsoft and some Linux Servers, Microsoft local and Azure Active directory, DFSR, Multi Domain replication file server and SQL clustering. This role performs automated server maintenance and is responsible for monitoring full patching for security during automated build using scripting. This position includes research and implementation of new Microsoft and AWS cloud technologies, support for different business applications running on-prem and cloud including local & Azure Active Directory administration, advance NTFS and NFS implementation and other IT-related tasks.
The Sr. System Engineer utilizes demonstrated troubleshooting skills on different servers and its applications with an emphasis on quick resolution thus helping to minimize business downtime.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Install and maintain all server OS including automated build using run book to maintain validity of the servers.
Implementation and maintenance of SAN's, Nutanix and different hyper converged and virtualize technologies.
Monitor and maintain server overall security within the environment.
Support business for the launch of new applications and technologies.
Monitor system and review logs from Active directory and different servers.
Implementation and maintenance of radius and NPS server along with Certificate authority.
Assure systems availability - support, AD and file server and NTFS permission management.
Advance Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Online Exchange and Azure AD.
Must have experience of automated patch management.
Create new GPO, DNS, DHCP scopes and understand VLANS.
Understanding of Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure.
Implementation and management of different backup solutions on prem and cloud including SQL base backups.
Willing to work on weekends, holidays and after hours as necessary or desirable to meet the business needs.
Must be able to participate in regular after-hours on call support rotation.
Ability to prioritize and complete projects within deadlines.

Educational and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, MIS or equivalent.
8+ years of experience in Systems.
6+ years of experience in Windows Clients/Servers experience.
6+ years of experience in different back up experience software.
5+ years of experience in different end point protection software.
Microsoft Certifications
Virtualization technologies certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experienced in Exchange Online and NTFS file permissions.
Experienced in automated patch management using SCCM, Management end point, Quest Kace, manage-engine.
Advance knowledge of Microsoft RDP and Citrix technologies including VDI and app publishing.
