Lab Manager - MUOS




Scottsdale, AZ




Contract Position




Lab Manager job in Scottsdale, Arizona is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Space & Defense company. In this job you will be responsible for the equipment, configuration, maintenance and operation of the labs ownership, tracking, location, new, incoming, and dispositioning of lab assets to include Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), COMSEC, and Classified Assets.



Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain lab equipment, ensuring safe and compliant operations for all assets, including GFE, COMSEC, and classified materials.


• Validate clearance levels and training certifications for team members requiring lab access.


• Conduct audits of lab assets and report to Property Management and the Classified Materials Control Center (CMCC).


• Coordinate lab maintenance with facilities and vendors (e.g., Air Handlers, UPS Battery Backup, Security Alarms).


• Procure, install, track, and operate lab equipment, following company policies and procedures.


• Train and enforce lab procedures and asset movement policies.

Qualifications:

• 
  U.S. Citizen with active U.S. Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
  


• 
  Bachelor's degree in Science or Technology or equivalent experience.
  


• 
  8+ years of experience managing engineering labs.
  


• Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.


• Familiarity with safety and security processes in labs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of the MUOS system, with expertise in GIS/Core, NMS, RAN, RF, SCS, or IA.


• Experience in telecommunications or satellite programs.
