Release Planner job in Scottsdale, Arizona is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Space & Defense company. In this job you will assist in the management and operation of orbiting satellites through the deployment of the MUOS ground system. The system includes four ground station facilities positioned worldwide, each equipped with three freestanding antennas that act like cellphone switches, receiving radio calls relayed through the MUOS satellites. Provide the user-entry and integrated ground segments for the system, which will replace the military's current narrowband tactical communications system. Support warfighters worldwide on patrol in hostile environments, whether urban, canyon, mountains, or jungles - or even the Arctic Circle.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the development and test planning activities for satellite communications system releases, adding new capabilities, enhancements, and replacing end-of-life components.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to align release content objectives, ensuring milestones, communication plans, and development schedules meet project needs.
Validate the impact of release content objectives on contributing development teams, ensuring efficient use of system-level lab testing and integration resources.
Track progress, resolve issues, and communicate release development status in monthly reviews.
Plan and execute software releases on schedule, coordinating with system engineers, program management, and the deployment team.
Lead internal and customer Failure Review Control Board (FRCB) meetings, ensuring alignment on priorities and lessons learned.
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or STEM with 5+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
Experience setting up milestones, determining communication plans, and overseeing release development schedules.
Experience running Failure Review Control Board (FRCB) meetings.
Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to meet challenging customer requirements.
Collaborative team player with technical leadership experience.
