The Assistant Professor, Certified Nursing Assistant teaches during the academic year. Duties include but are not limited to teaching the theory and/or clinical component of the CNA course, assisting with the lab component of the CNA courses, ensure compliance with IDPH rules and guidelines, completes and takes action on program assessment, and ensure student and program needs are met.
Reporting Relationship:
Direct Reporting relationship to the Dean, Allied Health and Emergency Services
Minimum Qualifications:
Registered nurse, 2 years of nursing experience with current, unencumbered IL license.
Experience working in a long-term care facility.
Completion of State-Approved Train-the-Trainer and Evaluator Workshop, if applicable.
CPR certified as a BLS healthcare provider.
Possess proficiency in instructional methodology, curriculum design, and program planning.
Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
Excellent written communication and strong verbal communication skills.
Ability to facilitate change.
Proficient in basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in administration/management
Master's degree in nursing
Teaching experience at the college level.
Experience with traditional and non-traditional students.
Salary:
Commensurate with education and experience in accordance with the Union-Board Agreement.
