Are you a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant with a knack for organization and analysis? We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Finance team in Commack, NY. In this role, you will work closely with the divisional CFO and other finance professionals to ensure accurate, efficient financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable: Manage daily cash application, customer record maintenance, invoice processing, and sales and commission reporting.
Credit Management: Maintain communication with customers to ensure timely collections and monitor credit statuses.
Accounts Payable: Process and post vendor invoices, maintain vendor records, and ensure accurate data entry.
Inventory Control: Conduct inventory analysis and valuation to maintain accurate inventory records.
Sales and Cash Forecasting: Support financial forecasting efforts by providing key data to leadership.
General Ledger Reconciliation: Prepare reconciliations, manage intercompany activity, and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow for accuracy.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting.
Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software (A/P, A/R, GL, inventory, payroll, and fixed assets modules).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage deadlines and perform efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
