A growing medical device company located in Torrance, CA, is looking to bring on an experienced AP specialist to their accounting team. This person will play a pivotal role in the performance of the organization. This person will operate on a hyrbid schedule working 1-2 days a week onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sort and distribute all incoming mail.
* Receive, match and process account payables entries for all entities, by entering payables into the correct company within the accounting system.
* Receive, process and reconcile all credit card transactions weekly
* Process all inter-company payable transactions
* Review invoices for appropriate documentation, verify accuracy against purchase orders and resolve invoice discrepancies
* Properly code invoices and enter in QuickBooks in a timely and accurate manner
* Respond to vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expense reimbursements and check requests
* Reconcile vendor statements for all entities.
* Match invoices with checks, obtain signatures and distribute/mail checks accordingly
* Maintain vendor files including obtaining W-9
* Process 1099's
* Assist with special accounting projects
Qualifications:
* 5-7 years of experience in Accounts Payable
* BA in accounting or certifications in accounting related field.
* Must have experience using QuickBooks * Proficient in data entry (typing and 10 key)
* Must be detail oriented with strong analytical skills
* Must be reliable
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Proficient with MS Office (Excel and Word)
* Work independently under general supervision
