The Riverside County Information Technology (RCIT) department is seeking a Training Coordinator to join their team in Riverside!
Training Coordinator is a working title, the classification for this position is Administrative Services Analyst II. The position duties will focus heavily on coordinating and connecting managers to training and professional development resources.
The Administrative Services Analyst II will serve as the Training Coordinator for the RCIT Agency, playing a pivotal role in enhancing the professional development of their workforce. With over 360 filled positions and a range of training programs-including the Passport Program, Pro Program, Apprentice Program, various internships, Rivco Talent Training, SkillsSets online, and Onboarding training-this position will act as the central point of contact for all training activities.
Key responsibilities include facilitating the "Leadership Academy," a professional development program within the department, and collaborating with Managers and Bureau Heads to identify training needs and pointing them to effective solutions. This role will also contribute to the onboarding process by being part of the welcome team. They will also prepare care packages, order retirement plaques, and maintain the SharePoint site.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Publisher) and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills for both internal and external stakeholders. They should be adept at adapting plans and processes based on new information, learning quickly, and managing a substantial workload. The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team is essential, along with clear and concise writing skills across various communication settings.
Candidates with prior experience in professional development, program/training coordination, and high-level task management and prioritization are highly desired. Secretarial experience is considered a plus. This role is critical in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the organization.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Develop reports and recommendations for appropriate action based on the analysis of gathered data.
• Recommend and establish processes and procedures.
• Upon request, develop and recommend policies; develop written procedures to clarify or describe standard practices; design or improve forms to expedite procedures.
• Coordinate the publication and dissemination of procedures; review present and pending legislation to determine effect on departmental operations and programs.
• Participate in various meetings and present and/or gather data to assist management in making administrative and operational decisions.
• May direct, train, assign, and evaluate subordinate clerical and technical personnel in the performance of standard tasks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
OPTION IEducation: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree, preferably with a major in accounting, business or public administration, finance, or a closely related field to the assignment. (Paraprofessional administrative experience may substitute for the required education on the basis of one year of full-time experience equaling 30 semester or 45 quarter units of the required education.)

Experience: One year of professional experience in an administrative capacity, which included related experience in professional development, program/training coordination, or high-level task management and prioritization .

MISCELLANEOUS RETIREMENT: County of Riverside has three retirement Tiers through the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS).

DEFERRED COMPENSATION: Voluntary employee contribution with a choice between two 457 deferred compensation plan options.
VACATION ACCRUAL (Bi-Weekly Accrual):
0< 3 year = 80 Hours (10 Days)
4< 9 years = 120 Hours (15 Days)
10 or more years = 160 Hours (20 Days)
Maximum Vacation leave accumulation is 480 hours.
SICK LEAVE: Four (4) hours Sick Leave accrual per pay period with unlimited accrual.
HOLIDAYS: Normally 12 paid holidays per year.
BEREAVEMENT LEAVE: Allowed 5 days (3 days are County paid; 2 additional days can be taken from accrued Sick Leave balance).
BASIC LIFE INSURANCE: Equal to one times annual base salary not to exceed $50,000 of term life coverage. Premiums are paid by the County. Additional Supplemental Life plan is available for employee purchase.
DISABILITY: Short-term Disability benefit pays up to a maximum of $461.54 weekly, payable up to a maximum of 52 weeks.
POST RETIREMENT MEDICAL CONTRIBUTION: A monthly contribution is made by the County towards retiree health insurance offered through the County as governed by the applicable SEIU Memorandum of Understanding.
