Job Description:

Great opportunity for someone that is looking for a flexible work from home Accounting position. Currently the hours are part time with the potential to grow.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years experience with bookkeeping duties, 5 years general work/business experience
  • Education in Accounting or Business related field preferred
  • Experience working with Core (a BQE product) a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn new programs easily
  • Ability to keep track of and meet deadlines
  • Eye for detail
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Strong communicator
  • Team player

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Post daily accounting activities within Accounting System
  • Create and post invoices in project management system
  • Accounts Payable – post vendor invoices and payments
  • Follow up with Program Managers on outstanding Accounts receivables
  • Assist with set-up of new projects in Company Project Management System
  • Assist with month end account closing and monthly financial prep
  • Process checks, wires, and bank deposits
  • Verify, track and record employee expenses on a job specific basis
  • Track/provide reports on job profitability
  • Enter credit card transactions into accounting system.
  • Other accounting responsibilities as they come up.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • We anticipate hours being in the 15-20 hour range initially, with the potential of this to grow to 30-40 range over time.
  • Must be able to work some hours during the normal business hours (8-5 pm) to allow for team meetings
  • The company is an international company with Employees worldwide. Therefore occasional meetings outside of typical business hours will be required.
  • Work is cyclical - where some weeks are busier than others based on month end requirements.
