Position Summary:
Provide construction oversight for branch buildings. Coordinates work of contractor and consultants, oversees construction, renovation and remodeling projects.
*This is an onsite position located in Miami, FL
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinates the construction/installation phase of building projects. Follows through from bidding, permitting, contract administration, construction to close-out of the project.
Approves work, compiles punch lists and reviews pay requests and invoices. Verifies submission of partial and final lien waivers prior to submission. Performs field inspections of work to determine compliance with contract documents. Reviews shop drawings.
Represents Bank interests to outside vendors and contractors on facilities projects and coordinates with facilities staff and contractors on project support. Participates in developing and reviewing project specifications, bid documents, and submittals. Reviews work in progress to evaluate quality and compliance with specifications.
Assists with preparing cost estimates and budgets . Organizes and runs meetings between design professionals, construction contractors, and Bank clients as needed to manage the work. Provides management with regular updates and status reports. Upon completion of construction phase, handles project close-out details, and generates debrief. Handles site safety, insurance and bonding issues.
Provides assistance evaluating design consultant, construction contractor agreements and requests for proposals (RFP). Interviews construction contractors and maintains working list of qualified construction professionals at Branch location.
Reviews construction change requests and change orders. Reviews and negotiates pricing and recommends appropriate actions. Prepares associated documentation. Investigates and provides solutions on building construction issues. Implements repairs.
Position will be required to drive a Bank vehicle in the performance of job responsibilities on an as needed basis.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent experience
