Overview

Responsible for the overall quality of our manufactured products. Reduce DPPM and Scrap, effective RCCA and improved response time to customers through evaluation of warranty returns.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality assurance program by performing the following duties.
• Promptly and effectively communicate with external and internal customers on matters concerning the quality of product or processes.
• Assists Quality Assurance Manager in developing and administration of the Quality Management System.
• Supports root-cause corrective action activities for assigned areas, with the ultimately goal to eliminate non-conformances and improve flow of product.
• As required, author supplier corrective action responses
• Performs assessment of returned product
• Performs internal product /quality audits to assure compliance with quality standards and design specifications.
• Performs data collection and analysis of product performance characteristics.
• Recommend and implement improvements and/or modifications to operation sequences, with the ultimately goal to reduce scrap and improve efficiency
• Assists senior Quality Engineers with completing assigned tasks
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality or related technical focus with 1-3 years of experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in quality assurance with an emphasis in root cause analysis, defect prevention.
• Experience working with quality management system certified to AS9100, ISO9001 preferred.
• Working knowledge and experience in Quality Systems, Quality Auditing, Product and Process Design, Product and Process Control, Continuous Improvement and Quantitative methods are a plus.
• Six Sigma Black/Green belt certification or other quality related certifications a plus.
• This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.
