Overview
Responsible for the overall quality of our manufactured products. Reduce DPPM and Scrap, effective RCCA and improved response time to customers through evaluation of warranty returns.
Responsibilities
Plans and administers activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality assurance program by performing the following duties.
Promptly and effectively communicate with external and internal customers on matters concerning the quality of product or processes.
Assists Quality Assurance Manager in developing and administration of the Quality Management System.
Supports root-cause corrective action activities for assigned areas, with the ultimately goal to eliminate non-conformances and improve flow of product.
As required, author supplier corrective action responses
Performs assessment of returned product
Performs internal product /quality audits to assure compliance with quality standards and design specifications.
Performs data collection and analysis of product performance characteristics.
Recommend and implement improvements and/or modifications to operation sequences, with the ultimately goal to reduce scrap and improve efficiency
Assists senior Quality Engineers with completing assigned tasks
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality or related technical focus with 1-3 years of experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in quality assurance with an emphasis in root cause analysis, defect prevention.
Experience working with quality management system certified to AS9100, ISO9001 preferred.
Working knowledge and experience in Quality Systems, Quality Auditing, Product and Process Design, Product and Process Control, Continuous Improvement and Quantitative methods are a plus.
Six Sigma Black/Green belt certification or other quality related certifications a plus.
