Job Description:

Program Support Specialist
HunaTek requires a Washington, DC area based full-time Program Support Specialist who will provide remote administrative and operational support to program managers and team members, ensuring the effective execution of programs and initiatives. This role involves coordinating activities, maintaining documentation, and facilitating communication among stakeholders to promote program success.
Essential Job Functions:
The Program Support Specialist will be an essential member of the overall program management team and must have prior experience in highly collaborative environments. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Assist in the planning and organization of program activities and events.
  • Prepare and maintain program documentation, reports, and presentations.
  • Schedule meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Serve as a point of contact for program inquiries and communications.
  • Facilitate collaboration among team members and external partners.
  • Assist in the development and distribution of program communications, including newsletters and updates.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on program data to support decision-making.
  • Monitor program budgets and assist in financial reporting and reconciliation.
  • Process invoices and manage expense reports as needed.
  • Support the evaluation of program effectiveness through data collection and analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for stakeholders and customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Program Management.

Skills and Qualifications Required:
The successful candidate must have:
  • 2+ years experience in a program management support role.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to collaborate remotely
  • Possess a willingness to learn specific program requirements of the position
  • Attention to detail, strong follow-through skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Possess working familiarity with government customer regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with superiors, colleagues, business professionals, and the general public
  • Excellent interpersonal skills working with individuals at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and handle pressure situations.
