The Purchasing Supervisor will work closely with Production Coordinator, Material Suppliers and Mystery Ranch Contract Manufacturers to ensure that materials inventory is purchased, received, and distributed to fulfill production requirements. This position demands excellent planning, organizational and communication skills.
This role is based on-site in Bozeman, MT.
Responsibilities:
Oversee procurement of materials for domestic manufacturing.
Determine Contractor raw material needs based on scheduled production - use Report: Current Inventory Status by Location - Raw Materials.
Purchase materials for stock based historical usage data to ensure availability for ad hoc needs such as the purchase history report and WO consumption report.
Manage blanket purchase orders with vendors.
Create material TOs for Warehouse Associate, Materials Distribution to send to Contract Manufacturer.
Maintain and provide visibility of materials in transit between Suppliers, Contract Manufacturers and Bozeman Warehouse.
Work with Production Coordinator and Contract Manufacturers to address material shortages as needed to minimize impacts to the production schedule.
Work with Contract Manufacturers to ensure timely receipt of materials shipments and input verified packing slips to the ERP.
Facilitate weekly meeting with internal stakeholders to update materials transit and inventory status.
Supervise Warehouse Associate, Materials Inspection and Receiving and Warehouse Associate, Materials Distribution and Inventory
Complete additional tasks as needed including but not limited to receiving goods, working with venders and contractors on quality match issues, in line changes in production, purchasing, and other support tasks
Qualifications:
Must possess 2+ years of relevant experience
High school diploma or GED
Purchasing or inventory management background preferred
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
Team player
Ability to travel domestically as needed. < 10%
