Primary Care, Swampscott



Our practice is located at the convenient location of 250 Paradise Road in Swampscott, MA. As a Primary Care office, we provide outstanding primary care and preventative health care to all patient populations.

The Opportunity



We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant II to join our team, working 20 hours per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with flexible availability between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. This role also includes a rotating Saturday shift every 7-8 weeks from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.


This Medical Assistant II will support an Advanced Practice Provider in our practice who predominantly sees 8 patients per day. While we ideally aim to have our clinical support staff members working 1:1 with their assigned Provider, they do cross-cover, rotate, and collaborate with various providers to develop their skills, expose them to different styles, and expand their clinical knowledge.


As true partners to our nurses and providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team.


Responsibilities include:


  • Functioning as a "flow manager"/ensuring efficient patient flow through the office

  • Assisting the Provider and/or Nurse with patient care during the office visit (examination, procedures, and treatments as directed)

  • Performing clinically appropriate tasks related patient panel management (phone triage, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.)

  • Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas

  • Providing an exceptional care experience by interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs.

  • Required:

    • High School diploma/GED

    • Either BLS or Annual Manikin training including CPR and AED after 6 months of hire




  • Strongly Preferred:

    • Medical Assistant Course or diploma program or a minimum of 1 year professional experience

    • National MA Certification via AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT
