The Operations PMO Manager will lead projects dedicated to supporting customers across renewable energy, healthcare, and agriculture sectors. This role involves managing cross-functional efforts to ensure efficient introductions of new customers and products. Through strategic planning, communication, and alignment, the PMO Manager will drive on-time, quality project launches that consistently meet or exceed customer satisfaction benchmarks.
What can you expect to do?
Customer-Focused Project Leadership: Serve as the main liaison for key customer projects, coordinating with internal teams to resolve technical and logistical challenges. Drive seamless collaboration with customers from initial requirements gathering through final product acceptance.
New Product and Customer Introduction Management: Direct and manage processes for New Customer Introduction (NCI), New Product Introduction (NPI), and product transfers, focusing on timelines, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Project Milestone Development: Establish clear project goals, milestones, and objectives in collaboration with all functional teams and stakeholders, aligning resources to meet strategic priorities.
Define Team Roles and Responsibilities: Clarify roles across the project team and coordinate with other departments, including engineering and operations, to streamline workflows.
Process Optimization and Training: Enhance team effectiveness by implementing optimized project management processes, tools, metrics, and reporting standards. Provide training and reference materials for consistent process execution.
Risk Management and Resolution: Proactively identify potential risks and engage the escalation process to drive timely resolution, minimizing impact on project timelines and customer expectations.
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain consistent communication on project priorities, updates, and statuses with operations management, site leadership, and customers to ensure alignment and transparency.
Performance and Review Management: Oversee operational project reviews on a monthly basis and manage weekly team project reviews, ensuring progress aligns with established benchmarks.
Budget and Resource Forecasting: Assist in forecasting for functional budgets and HR needs, aligning resources with current and future project demands.
What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in project/program management within a manufacturing environment (engineering, quality, planning, etc.), along with 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
Technical and Operational Expertise: Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and financial acumen, with the ability to leverage organizational resources for project success.
Customer-Focused Problem Solver: Skilled in understanding customer needs, with a consultative approach to delivering results. Prior experience with customer interfacing is essential.
Leadership Competencies: Exemplifies strong leadership qualities, with the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a results-driven, detail-oriented mindset.
