Responsible for performing highly complex activities relating to the design, testing, and evaluation of mechanical systems, subassemblies and components.
Project Details:
Define (scope) and implement project plans in accordance with the client's needs as early as pre-selling activities, through proposal scoping and through project start up, execution and completion. This role will cover the entire life cycle.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans within the scope of new product development processes and new technology development
Orchestrate team efforts to achieve milestones and resolve issues
Communicate frequently across all project disciplines to ensure both team and management is aware of upcoming milestones as well as risks/issues
Conduct regular meetings with project teams to resolve issues and risks, maintain engagement and focus, and share updates withal team members
Ensure project requirements are achieved in a timely fashion and within budget guidelines
Assemble project team, identify needed resources, assign responsibilities and develop time frames to facilitate successful completion of project activities and deliverables
Mentor other engineers in best practices, industry trends and skill development
Work and communicate effectively with all employees including but not limited to: Engineering, Sales, Production, Purchasing and Management
Direct interaction with customer for the purpose of product development
Possess an enthusiastic attitude and work as part of a team
Job Experience:
Requires 8-10 years of previous experience in Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining operations, casting, etc
Outstanding Microsoft office skills
Must have a minimum of 1000 hours SolidWorks 2005+ and 4-5 years of drafting experience with a focus in ASMEY 14.5E STD
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Exceptional organizational ability and attention to detail
